Board Meeting

 

The April board of education meeting was held online.  Absent from the meeting was board member Patty Adair.

The Board approved their regular meeting minutes for March 17, 2020.

Under correspondence, the school district was thanked by the Runnemede Police Department for the 12 face shields and also thanked by Jefferson Hospital for the 3-D printed ear savers.

There was a presentation of the 2020-2021 budget.  It was stated that based on a property valuation of $100,000 the increase in school tax is $16.10.  The average home in Runnemede is $147,985.

Under property and transportation, facility use has been canceled until further notice.  Field trips also have been canceled through the end of the year.

Under personnel, the Board approved Dr. Sean McCarron to be re-appointed as the School Business Administrator (FTE 0.4) in the district for the 2020-2021 school year at an annual salary of $57,342 (pending approval of the contract by Camden County Executive Superintendent).

The school district will continue with Garrison Architects as the architect of record for the 2020-2021 school year.  The agreement with Adams, Gutierrez, and Lattiboudere, LLC was approved to continue as the school solicitor for the 2020-2021 school year.

Under policies and public relations, the Board voted for the submission of a resolution opposing delay in transmission of property tax revenue to school districts to NJSBA.

The next board of education meeting will be on Tuesday, May 19 starting at 7 p.m.

[Financial Report 4-28-2020] – An Open Public Records Act request was submitted on 4-28-2020 for the approved financial report.  The request was completed on 4-28-2020.
