Board Reorganization Meeting

At the January board of education reorganization meeting, board secretary, Sean McCarron ran the meeting until a board president was picked.

McCarron read the election results from the November election and then administered the Oath of Office to the three board members.

Nominations were made for the President of the Board of Education.  Samantha Sampolski-Spaulding was nominated as President of the Board of Education.

Nominations were then made for Vice President of the Board of Education.  Naomi Davidson was nominated as Vice President of the Board of Education.

The Board approved the remainder meeting schedule for the 2019-2020 school year through December 2020. Meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of every month unless specified.

The Board approved Plymouth Environmental as the lowest bidder and selected contractor for the Mercury Catalyzed Flooring Abatement at the gymnasium of Mary E. Volz Middle School during the 2020-2021 school year.  The total bid amount was $145,000.  The base bid was $126,000.  The alternate #1 was $19,000 (if needed- additional ¼ inch concrete removal).

The meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Mary E. Volz library unless specified.

The meeting minutes for the December 17, 2019 meeting and financial report – period ending December 2019- were approved.

The next reorganization meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

The next board of education meeting will be on Tuesday, February 18 starting at 7 p.m. in the Mary E. Volz school library.
