Runnemede Police Press Release 8-25-15

On August 24th at 8:09PM Runnemede Officers were dispatched to the area of Lakeview Drive and Singley Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers met with the victim, an adult female, who reported the following: The victim along with the suspect drove to Green Acres Park, in the suspect’s car. They began to argue. The victim was physically removed from the car, beaten and dragged to Big Timber Creek by the suspect. The suspect held the victims head under water until she lost consciousness. The victim eventually was dragged back to the suspect’s car. The victim eventually managed to flee from the suspect and ran to a home and asked the resident to call 9-1-1. While police were on the scene, the suspect walked up. He was identified by the victim and was immediately arrested.

Cascade Court Sewell, NJ

Charges
Attempted Murder
Attempted kidnapping
Terroristic Threats

Christian Benyard is in the Camden County Correctional Facility, bail is set at $150,000.

 

All those charged are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
